Fred Tausch is a successful small businessman, investor and financial expert. Fed up with the politicians' business-as-usual culture, he founded STEWARD of Prosperity - a grassroots organization dedicated to transparency in government and holding lawmakers' feet to the fire. STEWARD was renamed NH Steward in 2010 as the organization took on a broader role.

Fred recognizes that New Hampshire and the nation face enormous challenges. Skyrocketing budget deficits in Concord and Washington are jeopardizing our economic future. At the State House, Democrats continue to push income and sales taxes - moves that would destroy New Hampshire's competitive advantage. In Washington, President Obama and Congressional Democrats are spending away our children's and grandchildren's future.

Through his extensive business experience, Fred knows that we can't tax and spend our way to prosperity. A fiscal conservative in the New Hampshire tradition, he believes that low taxes, less spending, and personal responsibility are central to building long-term economic strength.

As NH Steward's founder, Fred is leading a grassroots movement of New Hampshire citizens who want to put government back on the side of the people. Spreading the group's core message of fiscal discipline and accountability, he regularly delivers remarks to political and civic groups across the state.

Fred graduated from Tufts University with a dual degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He resides in Merrimack.
