According to CNN as of June 8, 2009, so far 150,000 jobs have been saved or created nationwide by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Nationwide, 345,000 jobs were lost in May alone. Since the stimulus bill was signed on February 17, 2009, there have been over 1.5 million jobs lost in the United States, according to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics.
